B2B marketing manager role at a mid-sized professional services firm. Own demand generation, content, and the website rebuild that's coming this year.

Boroughs Group is a B2B professional services firm in Reading — 180-person business, owner-led, serving mid-market clients across the South. They’re hiring a Marketing Manager to take ownership of the marketing function, which currently consists of a junior content executive and the residual freelance agency work the firm has accumulated.

The realistic shape of the work: building a proper inbound demand-generation programme (the firm currently relies on referrals and event presence), owning the website rebuild that needs to happen this year, running the small content team, and being the marketing voice in the small senior leadership group.

This is a “build it” role, not a “run it” role. The firm has been under-invested in marketing for years and the leadership team has now decided to fix that. The role has clear support from the top.

Who fits: six-plus years in B2B marketing, ideally in professional services or B2B services. Demonstrable demand-gen experience (LinkedIn, content, paid search, marketing automation). Comfortable being the most senior marketer in the room.

£50-62k + 8% bonus. Hybrid, three days in the Reading office. Genuinely growable role for the right person — a marketing director seat is plausible in two to three years.
