Our second-largest practice, founded alongside Commerce in 2008 by James Finch. The Finance practice covers permanent, interim, and contract finance appointments across the South East and London, from part-qualified roles through to Finance Director and CFO appointments.
The split is roughly 70% permanent / 30% interim and contract, with a steady stream of CFO-cover interim engagements as a particular speciality.
Where we focus
Part-qualified finance — Assistant Accountants, Accounts Assistants, Management Accountants at the studying stage. The volume end of the practice and the bedrock of long-term client relationships.
Qualified finance — Management Accountants, Senior Accountants, Finance Business Partners, Financial Controllers. The largest single category by placement value.
Senior finance leadership — Finance Directors and CFO appointments at SME and lower-mid-market businesses. Often run as retained engagements.
Interim and contract — full-time temporary finance leadership and qualified roles, including the CFO-cover engagements the practice has become known for.

James Finch leads the Finance practice. For senior finance briefs (Financial Controller and above, or any interim engagement), James is the right first conversation. For PQ and qualified roles, Priya Shah leads day-to-day.
